In order to implement the third phase of the National Strategy for Combating Corruption (2017 – 2022), the government of Tanzania instructed all public institutions to establish Integrity Committees (KKU). KKU stands for a Swahili abbreviation “Kamati ya Kuthibiti Uadilifu” which means an Integrity Committee.
At Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) the Integrity Committee (KKU-SUA) was established in October 2018.
The SUA Integrity Committee has five members of which two are female and three are male. Of these members one serves as a Chairperson and another a Secretary.
These members were appointed by the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Sokoine University of Agriculture as instructed by the government.
